Bears fans

With 3 minutes left in the game, we anxiously await to see if the Bears can pull this one off. Either way, the boys are wearing their shirts/sweatshirts with pride. Sorry Papa Schem! :)
(btw - for anyone who didn't think they looked like each other, this picture may change your mind!)

What has Sherwood done to these kids?

We thought moving to Sherwood, a quiet little neighborhood, would be good for the boys. They recently started dressing in sweatpants and sunglasses and wearing their hats to the side??!!??

Easter at the Museum

We went to an Easter party at the Children's Museum through Abe's work (JJ Keller). The next few pictures show the kids enjoying the different parts of the museum. I am sure you will be surprised to note that Calvin enjoyed playing with the trains the most.

Men in Hats

I have no explanation for how they ended up with these hats on. I couldn't help but take a picture as I happened upon them playing contently with videos, looking like this.

24/7

If he could, Calvin would spend all of his time playing with trains or reading Thomas the Train books.

Bath time

Abe got some great pictures of Micah in the bath. Here are several of them. They all turned out really cute. Too bad Micah fell off his bike shortly before the pics were taken (note the red scrape on his nose - it's hard not to).

They look like they are sharing

. . . but they are probably just fighting over a train.

Like Father . . .

. . . like son. I wonder how long it took him to crop this picture, perfect the coloring, etc.?

Bill Gates??

Hopefully. Maybe Abe and I can retire early then. I think he's just trying to start a myspace page.

The Green Machine

He looks like he's up to no good.

A picture with Granny

Well, I went through another set of pictures and found several more. Here is the first of several pictures from this year. This was one of what seemed like 100 pictures that was taken of the boys with Granny. It seemed like all of them had one of the boys looking away from the camera.

Halloween Animals

Last year we took a Chicken and a Lion to a Halloween party at Mom's work. This year we won't be going to the Halloween party and we won't have a Chicken or Lion. We will have a Dragon and a Bug.

The Boys from Christmas Past

Since Christmas is right around the corner, I thought I would pull out an old Christmas family photo from last year at Grandma and Papa's house. We magically found a way for everyone to be looking at the camera. Probably because Puddy wasn't in the picture. Sorry Puddy!

Excellent Hygiene

For some reason we like to take pictures of the kids brushing their teeth. I didn't realize it until I went back through pictures we had taken over the last year (to try to update this blog). Here are two of several teeth-brushing pictures.

Micah's surgery

Micah had a hydrocelectomy and hernia repair (or for short "surgery") on Sept. 8th. Aunt Tricia came to help out and make sure Mom didn't pass out before, during or after the surgery. Micah did awesome and was a great little boy. We took this picture at home, about 5 hours after the surgery and he was already smiling. The best part of the picture is the cute little hospital gown he got to wear all day! (oh yeah, and Aunt Tricia too!) :)

New addition to the train family

Anyone who knows Calvin knows that he is very interested in Thomas the Train. He could teach Sir Topham Hat a few things about the Island of Sodor and its Very Useful Engines. Papa and Grandma bought him a new kind of train (at Quarry Quest) that hauls Caterpillars (not the insect). Here is a picture of the Engineer and Conductor(s).

Quarry Quest

Grandma and Papa Schem came to visit last weekend and we headed off to a very muddy Quarry Quest. It was our first time at QQ. There were so many cool things, but I think the boys were in 100% agreement (first time for everything) that the bus ride was the coolest part. Who would have known???

A family photo

Just when I thought about getting a family picture taken . . . we decided to pose for this picture . . . the thought of a family picture went away. After several shots, this was the best we could get. Not one had all of us looking at the camera
