Terrible Twos

Do kids really know that they need to start being "terrible" when they turn two? If so, Micah is very smart for his age. This morning Micah was naughty and had to sit on his bed. Instead, he buried his head in toys and whined. Seems very appropriate for his age.

Happy 2nd Birthday Micah!

Micah had his first of two birthday parties yesterday. As you can see from the pictures, he likes the cake this year! The second picture is of the kids table, with Miles, Calvin and Micah.

My cousins

Last weekend we went to watch "Janna baball". Now, Micah says "Janna baball" about 1,000 times per day. Anyway, in this picture (l to r) are: (2nd cousin) Steven, (cousin) Janna, Micah and (2nd cousin) Jeremy. We all had lots of fun and Janna played awesome! :)

Christmas Parade

We were late, but we still made it to the Appleton Christmas parade last Tuesday. Not only were Joe and Jodi nice enough to save us a front row curb, but Jodi took these great pics. Thanks Jodi!

The many hairs of Calvin.

Cal's recent hairdos include a coloring from a Halloween party....

...and his famous winter hat head.

Halloween

Like my brother

Even though Calvin and Micah fight like brothers, Micah loves to imitate Calvin doing just about anything. Here, I caught him putting on Calvin's "undies".

Another new train

Last weekend cousin Janna had a basketball tournament in Kimberly, so the family headed over to visit. We had lots of fun. Calvin and Tricia busied themselves one morning with making Calvin another train. It's a good thing because he doesn't have many trains! :)

Not quite Christmas card worthy

but still cute! Here are a couple of shots from this weekend when we were trying to get a shot in the fields behind our house (for our Christmas cards). They both cooperated, but never at the same time. We'll try again this weekend.

Prize winning Puddy

I never thought I would use "prize-winning" and "Puddy" in the same sentence, but I had to after he placed at a dog grooming show. Here is a picture of Puddy at his best; he is styling in the latest dog hairstyle.

Sunflowers

Last weekend we went to a Fall/Halloween Art festival. The kids made lots of interesting "art pieces". One of the things they put together (with a lot of help from Dad and Mom) was a sunflower necklace. We decided to plant the sunflower seeds in the backyard and hope we will have two sunflowers in our backyard each year. I thought it would be a nice way to watch the kids grow - I will take a picture of them next to their sunflowers each year. This year, all you see is them holding their sunflower necklaces in the back yard. The picture is actually really funny though, because they wanted to take the picture facing the house (which also had them facing the sun). Their faces are priceless.

Red eye

. . . would be more accurate than "pink eye". Micah is sick. He has "pink eye", an ear infection and a bad cold. Through all of this, he is still smiling and happy most of the time. His eyes got so red and swollen over the last two days that I had to take a picture. Also, tonight he was so exhausted (from being sick) that he fell asleep at 7:15 p.m. on the couch while I was giving Cal a bath. Those were all first time occurences (falling asleep on the couch, not bugging Cal and I while Cal takes a bath and falling asleep at 7:15). Poor guy!!

So much love

They are just so loving toward one another, as shown in these pictures. In case you are wondering - yes, they are always this happy to be around one another. :)

cameraman

Is he lined up to take a picture of Michael Phelps winning his 8th gold medal??? No, just checking out Daddy's camera.

. . . a few more pictures from Cuff's

Here we are heading out to the field, picking pumpkins and checking out all of the fun stuff you can do in the fields.

. . . more Cuff's . . .

Notice it is getting late here, but we stopped for one last picture of our "pumpkins". Calvin practically jumped through the hole in the pumpkin as he yelled "cheese".

Cuff's continued . . .

Here they are making the big climb for heading down the slide and running on the hay.

Cuff's Pumpkin Patch

Today we took the kids to Cuff's Pumpkin Patch. We did the following: went on a hayride, picked pumpkins, went on a train ride, ate hotdogs, went through a corn maze, went down hayslides and I am sure much more that I can't remember. Here are a few pictures of the corn maze adventure.

Bears fans

With 3 minutes left in the game, we anxiously await to see if the Bears can pull this one off. Either way, the boys are wearing their shirts/sweatshirts with pride. Sorry Papa Schem! :)
(btw - for anyone who didn't think they looked like each other, this picture may change your mind!)

What has Sherwood done to these kids?

We thought moving to Sherwood, a quiet little neighborhood, would be good for the boys. They recently started dressing in sweatpants and sunglasses and wearing their hats to the side??!!??

Easter at the Museum

We went to an Easter party at the Children's Museum through Abe's work (JJ Keller). The next few pictures show the kids enjoying the different parts of the museum. I am sure you will be surprised to note that Calvin enjoyed playing with the trains the most.

Men in Hats

I have no explanation for how they ended up with these hats on. I couldn't help but take a picture as I happened upon them playing contently with videos, looking like this.

24/7

If he could, Calvin would spend all of his time playing with trains or reading Thomas the Train books.

Bath time

Abe got some great pictures of Micah in the bath. Here are several of them. They all turned out really cute. Too bad Micah fell off his bike shortly before the pics were taken (note the red scrape on his nose - it's hard not to).

They look like they are sharing

. . . but they are probably just fighting over a train.

Like Father . . .

. . . like son. I wonder how long it took him to crop this picture, perfect the coloring, etc.?
